Peter Vincent was born in Stamford, CT in 1946, but has lived in Rockport, MA since 1955. He attended the New England School of Art, the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Decordova Museum School. From 1974 until 1979, Peter worked with master printers Robert Townsend and Paul Maguire at Impressions Workshop in Boston, producing etchings and lithographs. In 1979 he was commissioned by Hallmark to commemorate the clipper ship Flying Cloud, for which he produced the etching All Possible Sails Set. His work may be found in dozens of private collections, and has been exhibited since 1984 at Mystic Seaport in Mystic, CT, where he was the first recipient of the Thomas Hoyne Award and has since received two additional awards for excellence. Peter Vincent is a member of the American Society of Marine Artists and of the Rockport Art Association. He is pictured at left with Walter Cronkite.
